Good morning, everyone. This is Douglas Cohen here from Peak Legal Services, LLC: criminal defense and family law. I haven’t done a video from on top of the parking garage across from the Denver Courthouse in a while, so I’m going to do a shoutout to you guys today.

Our law firm handles some very serious matters including homicide cases, robbery cases, sex assault cases, but every once in a while we like to help out folks who have some smaller cases.

Today we got a really good outcome for a college student who is a really good kid, a hard-working kid with a good heart. He had some poor judgment and left the scene of a minor traffic accident, but he showed the DA, by working with us, that he made a mistake and he is willing to pay amends for it.

He did that today and instead of having his license suspended and facing some really serious fines and possible jail, we got him a three-point ticket. He can drive back to college, maintain his license, and keep working. It was a really good outcome today.
